Prof. Dr. Med. Michael Wendt

  • The director of the clinic for anesthesiology and intensive care at the University of Greifswald deals with the issue “technologies in business processes” in the project “Service4Health”. Since the 80’s he has been working on technology development in and for intensive care. Amongst other things, he developed digital catheters (BMBF) and new artificial respiratory systems. Since 1994 he is cooperating with industry partners in topics like process aligned changes of monitoring units and algorithms for analysis and control, based on process analysis. He is co-organizer of congresses concerning hospital construction and the hospital of the future. Presently a new concept for regional medicare is developed in cooperation with the DLR in Cologne (Regional Health Care). The concept promotes a consequent rebuilding of hospitals including internal and ambulant concepts. Prof. Dr. Wendt is a member of numerous organizations, of Institutes for Standardization and of the Technical Commission of the DGAI. In Service4Health he focusses productivity under the influence of diversity and technologies.

Prof. Dr. Manfred Bornewasser

  • The Owner of Chair of social, work and organizational psychology at the University of Greifswald places emphasis on the analysis of organizational setups and their impact on individual experiences. He evaluated numerous projects of organizational development in the police sector. Furthermore he is already cooperating for years with the “Berufsbildungswerk Deutscher Krankenhäuser” (BBDK) and has conducted numerous empirical studies in the areas processes, mental state of employees and of patients in hospitals and human resources development. In the context of the International Graduate College „Baltic Borderlands“, the Chair is engaged in research, focusing problems of internal organizational development and alignment. Furthermore the Chair participates in the BMBF funded project “Flex4Work” which analysis the effects of a transition to flexible human resources strategies in the industry sector.

    The Team of Prof. Dr. Bornewasser deals with the influence of diversity on processes. This influence and its impact on the productivity and the holistic productivity index will be determined. Therefore the process systems in the partner hospitals shall be analyzed and operationalized.
